Caring for your portrait

Each painting is sealed with either a matte or gloss varnish to protect it. Here are some ways you can care for your painting at home to ensure it lasts for years to come!

  1. Avoid direct sunlight - Even though acrylic paint stands up very well to UV rays, eventually over the years, the paint will start to fade if it is exposed to direct sunlight.

  2. Avoid humidity and moisture - Avoid hanging your artwork in places prone to high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens, as it may lead to mold growth or paint damage.

  3. Handle with care - When transporting or moving your portrait, avoid touching the painted surface directly and use proper packing materials to protect the artwork.

  4. Keep it clean - Dust and dirt can accumulate on the surface of your acrylic painting over time. Gently dust the artwork with a soft, clean brush or a microfiber cloth to keep it clean without causing any damage.
